General Information About Our Library Services:
Loan Periods: Books, Magazines, Puzzles, Audio Books may be borrowed for 2 weeks (overdue fines are $0.10 per day); Movies (DVD or VHS) for one week (overdue fines are $2.00 per day).
E-books (E-reader or audio formats) are available through the library system, using OverDrive. You can also place holds on the system website for materials to be picked up in Delevan using the system catalog. Use the library catalog link above.
DYPL is an automated library. Patrons will need a library card with a numerical ID number for scanning. The card can be used at any automated library in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library system. A PIN number unique to your card is also available for on-line ordering through the library system. Pick-up a pamphlet with step-by-step directions for on-line use to request titles from our library, or any automated library in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System.
Copies and Print-outs: 15-cents per single-sided page, black & white or color; 20-cents per double-sided page. Faxes sent or received for $.50/page. We allow students to print up to 5 FREE copies per day for classwork.
Internet-accessible Computers are available for public use. Computer users must have a Library card; minor users may only use computers with a parent’s or guardian’s consent & signature on their library card application. Patrons using a library computer must sign in at the circulation desk. Printing from a library computer is 10-cents per page.
Anderson Community Room : The Anderson Community Room is available for meetings of clubs, civic groups, and non-profit organizations. Copies of the Room-Use Policy and applications to reserve a date and time to use the room are available at the Circulation Desk. A $50 deposit (check made out to Delevan-Yorkshire Public Library) is required. If the room is clean and in good order at the end of your meeting, your check will be returned to you. The Anderson Room is also used for special library programs, such as Story Times, the Summer Reading Program, Concerts, and various classes. Copies of the room use policy and applications to use the room are available at the library circulation desk. Contact the library for more information and scheduling.
WiFi Zone: Wireless Internet Access is available throughout the building. To use this service you must have a wireless card and a browser in your device (Laptop, Handheld device, Smartphone, etc.). Access information is available at the Circulation Desk. Unfortunately, Staff are not able to offer technical assistance with your connection or device.
